    A: Anthology and Finalsite announced that Finalsite has acquired Anthology’s Blackboard K-12 Community Engagement (CE) division. Read more in the press release.

    A: The transaction has cleared U.S. government regulatory review and is already complete.   


       
    Q: Can you tell me more about Finalsite?   
        
    A:  Finalsite offers a full suite of software and services to help schools manage their website, marketing, communications and enrollment. The company serves over 8,000 schools worldwide and is headquartered in Glastonbury, Connecticut.  


        
    Q: How does this transaction benefit my school/school district?    
        
    A: This transaction provides the opportunity for our clients to access more solutions, services and thought leadership designed expressly for K-12 institutions, delivered and supported by a focused team of industry experts at Finalsite.


      
    Q: I’m a current Blackboard K-12 Community Engagement client. Is anything changing for me?         
       
    A: Nothing is changing for Blackboard K-12 CE clients with existing Blackboard contracts. Contracts will transfer to Finalsite. Finalsite is 100% committed to supporting Blackboard K-12 CE products.     


        
    Q: My school/institution also uses Blackboard Learn by Anthology. Will there be any changes within Learn?   
      
    A: There will be no immediate impact to the way you use Blackboard Learn on a day-to-day basis. 


      
    Q: Will there be any changes to my institution’s existing contract?    
        
    A: There will be no changes to your existing contract.    


     
    Q: Will this transaction have any data privacy implications for CE clients? 

    A: Finalsite shares Anthology’s commitment to high privacy and security standards. Personal information in the Blackboard CE tools will continue to be protected by the existing contractual commitments on privacy and security.


                   
    Q: How does this impact Anthology’s partnerships?    
        
    A: Existing integrations, relationships and agreements with Blackboard CE partners will be transitioned appropriately to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations for clients. There will be no immediate impact to existing partnerships.    

     
      
    Q: Will Anthology and Finalsite operate as partners moving forward?   
      
    A: Anthology and Finalsite will continue to collaborate to ensure a smooth transition for clients and partners. While both companies are committed to helping the K-12 education community and its learners reach their goals, there will not be a formal partnership in place between Anthology and Finalsite following this transaction.   


      
    Q: Does this impact Anthology’s mission or strategy?   
        
    A: Our mission remains unchanged -- to provide the education community with dynamic, data-driven experiences so that learners and educators achieve their goals. We are continuing our work to bring those experiences to life across the entire education ecosystem.     

     

    Q: I’m a current Blackboard Community Engagement client but my organization is not a K-12 school / school district. Will I be a Finalsite client moving forward?      

    A: Yes, Finalsite has acquired all Blackboard CE solutions. If your organization uses Blackboard Web Community Manager, Blackboard Connect, Blackboard Reach, Blackboard Mass Notifications, or the Blackboard Mobile Communications App, your contract for that solution will transition to Finalsite. Contracts for Blackboard Learn and Anthology Ally will remain with Anthology.
